Service & Spiritual Life

Morris Catholic exists to strengthen young men and women intellectually and spiritually so they can develop character, respect for community, and lifelong commitment through the love of Christ. As a Catholic school with the Diocese of Paterson, Morris Catholic integrates the Catholic faith tradition into all aspects of student life.

The Campus Ministry Office provides

  • spiritual support

  • plans for religious activities and

  • reinforces a strong Catholic identity at Morris Catholic High School.

Our school Chaplain, Fr. Carmen Buono, and Campus Ministry Director, Mrs. Susan Drew, lead the campus ministry team. Senior students are selected to be part of the Peer Ministry program. These students are guided in faith, receive training in communication and interpersonal skills, and serve the student community in leadership roles. The program comprises several service areas: Social Justice, Music Ministry, Peer Ministry, Prayer, and Liturgy.

Community Service and Outreach

As stated in our mission statement, service is a crucial component to the development of our students. At Morris Catholic, we believe that the foundation of a meaningful education extends beyond academic excellence, reaching into the heart of community and service. We aim to strengthen young men and women intellectually and spiritually, ensuring they grow not only in knowledge but also in character, empathy, and a deep-rooted sense of duty to their communities. Our Mission encapsulates this vision: "Morris Catholic exists to strengthen young men and women intellectually and spiritually so they can develop character, respect for community, and lifelong commitment through the love of Christ."
