Softball

The focus of the program is to build a solid, positive, foundation for on-field, in-the-classroom, and in-our-community success. Varsity and JV teams compete in the very competitive Northwest Jersey Athletic Conference, Morris County Tournament, and the NJSIAA Non-Public B Tournament. Student-athletes also complete at least one group community service project.

2023 Highlights

 

Head Coach: Nick DeGennaro

Coach DeGennaro has been a high school coach for the past 25 years. He has coached football, wrestling, and softball during that time. Coach DeGennaro began his softball coaching career at Kittatinny Regional High School as an assistant coach in 2000. He became the Head Women's Softball Coach at Sussex County Community College (SCCC) in 2003. In his eight seasons at SCCC, his teams compiled a 205-115-1 record, while winning two Garden State Athletic conference titles. His teams also finished Top 10 in the Nation in Team Grade Point Average five of his eight seasons. In 2012, Coach DeGennaro became the Head Softball Coach at Jefferson Township High School (JTHS). While at JTHS, his teams compiled a 118-49 record, winning three NJAC Freedom Division titles. His JTHS teams were Morris County Tournament semifinalists in 2013 and 2016, and finalists in 2015. Coach DeGennaro also spent 10 years coaching cub softball for the Rampage Softball organization in Rockaway, NJ and currently coaches with the NJ Pride Gold Club softball team.
