Marc Mariani was born in California, raised in rural Oregon, and received his college education at the University of Washington. After living and working in Rome, Italy for four years he returned to Seattle where he taught Greek, Latin, and Italian, first at a private language academy and later at Cornish College of the Arts. He is delighted to have settled in New Jersey with his son and to have the opportunity to teach two of his favorite subjects at Morris Catholic, where he is now in his third year. Marc is very fond of the outdoors and eager to explore all the natural attractions this part of the country has to offer. Among his hobbies and passions he would include travel, camping and hiking, meandering walks in city and country, reading, art and theater, cooking, entertaining, skiing, and the occasional game of tennis.
