Crusader Commons - Now Open!

The Crusader Commons is the new focal point for the MC community. With a new Chapel that is now the focal point of our school, a new entrance to the building next to the Christopher Harris Thomas Gymnasium, a new student courtyard, and the Crusader Commons there is so much new this year at Morris Catholic. These new spaces model our strategic plan and help highlight our school’s sound sense of community and Catholicity. It creates beautiful areas that can be utilized by everyone, current students and alumni alike, a space that promotes social learning, collaboration, and community.
"Make me oh Lord, a holy Crusader..."

The newly designed chapel is the centerpiece of the Crusader Commons project because growing in our faith is central to what it is to be a Crusader.  The new chapel will allow students to attend mass in the morning but also a large and welcoming space for Theology classes to spend time in front of the Blessed Sacrament and celebrate the Sacraments in school.  The chapel is also a space for alumni and families to use for Mass and Baptisms as well.  The chapel is a welcoming prayer space for all Crusaders.
Students spend the majority of their day here at Morris Catholic and the Crusader Commons is a comfortable and welcoming space for students to work and socialize while in school.  The furniture in the Commons ranges from small quiet classrooms and club meeting rooms, to collaboration spaces to social areas for students to work together.  The Commons is also a spacious area for large meetings and events.

The students have already begun to enjoy the space -
