Learning Specialist in Language Arts

Teacher of Spanish

Morris Catholic High School in Denville, NJ, seeks applicants with an expertise in teaching the Spanish language.   Qualified candidates will possess a strong educational background in World Languages and will have a student-centered approach to teaching towards mastery and fluency.  The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree, exhibit a demonstrated passion for developing an appreciation for the Spanish language and culture, and have an ability to coach or moderate a major school activity.


Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching multiple levels of Spanish in an academically-rigorous environment;

Teacher of Engineering/ Robotics Coach

Teacher of Writing and Great Works/ Coordinator of the Writing and Research Center

Interim Principal

Morris Catholic High School seeks a dynamic, self-motivated candidate for the full-time, exempt, benefitted position of Interim Principal.  The principal provides leadership in the development and direction of an instructional program designed to achieve diocesan outcomes. S/he is responsible for the complete operation of the school, including all of its approved functions and services.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  1. Be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing with the Church.
  2. Have a minimum of five years of experience in teaching and/or in administration with Catholic school experience.
  3. Have attained one or both of the following: Masters degree in an educational field and/or a New Jersey administrative credential.
  4. Have a deep commitment to the Catholic life of the school.
  5. Have demonstrated expertise in the area of curriculum and technology in the classroom.
  6. Be adept at inspiring teachers and galvanizing them around the pursuit of educational excellence.
  7. Have strong interpersonal skills and be adept at building and maintaining relationships.

Communications Associate

 

Morris Catholic High School seeks a dynamic, self-motivated candidate for the part-time Communications Associate position for the upcoming school year.  This 12-month position will give the successful candidate an opportunity to work with every constituent of the school community and become a vital part of the Advancement Team and help set the tone for the communications strategy for the school. 

 

The successful candidate should have the following qualities:

  • Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter, highly organized, detail-oriented, able to work independently, and entrepreneurial; enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives to help build brand awareness.
  • The ability to lead in the generation of online content that engages each of our constituents.
  • Be a strong team player in developing a cohesive, communications strategy.
  • Coordinate webpage maintenance - - ensure that new and consistent information (article links, stories, and events) is posted regularly.
  • Solid computer skills, including MS Office, Mailchimp, Canva, LucidPress, and more.
  • Track and measure the level of engagement within the network over time.
  • Manage the development of all print and digital materials, social media, email; assist in photo and video shoot direction, maintaining consistency across all platforms.

 

Finally, this candidate, reporting directly to the Director of Development, should be willing to take on new challenges as part of the Advancement Team.  This includes being part of the extra-curricular, co-curricular, sporting events; plus fundraising activities of the Advancement Office.
