On October 16th, the freshman class enjoyed an excellent trip to the United States Military Academy at West Point. The students were able to see Michie Stadium, Cadet Chapel, and many other spots on campus. They had an especially stunning view of the Hudson River, and were able to take a great class picture. Not only did the students get to see this impressive campus, they were also educated by the tour guide about the process of becoming a cadet. They were taught about former cadets who went on to become distinguished military leaders. The tour guide told many interesting stories about famous graduates, from Dwight D. Eisenhower to Ulysses S. Grant. Overall, the students had a fantastic trip. They learned a lot about a military academy that is Absolutely American and took a tour of a spectacular campus.
