Who We Are

Morris Catholic High School is a coeducational college preparatory school for grades 9 through 12 in the Diocese of Paterson. Since its founding in 1957 by Bishop McNulty, Morris Catholic has existed to educate young women and men to grow in character, community, and commitment, through a knowledge of the love of Christ. The 18-acre campus is located in beautiful Denville, New Jersey. The school is 38 miles west of New York City and is easily accessible to Routes 80 and 46, as well as the NJ Transit train service.

Mission

Morris Catholic exists to strengthen young men and women intellectually and spiritually so they can develop character, respect for community, and lifelong commitment through the love of Christ.

Our school philosophy centers around the belief that every student has infinite value and that every student matters.

Culture

Our diverse community offers excellent academics and seeks to meet the needs of all students. We offer 18 AP courses, an Advanced Science Academy, and tiered support services for different learners. Beyond the classroom, we offer twenty-one varsity sports, a rigorous performing arts program, service opportunities and an array of clubs. Our students to grow as servant leaders through our House program,  honor societies, and leadership organizations. Our students thrive in this environment and become accomplished alumni who continue to embody the mission of Morris Catholic after graduation.

 Catholic Identity

Morris Catholic integrates the Catholic faith tradition into all aspects of student life. We believe that each student who comes to us is made in the image and likeness of God and blessed with God-given talents. We welcome students raised outside of the Catholic faith and create a welcoming environment for all to grow into people of character and integrity. The Sisters of Christian Charity have been a presence on campus since its founding.  Our faculty, staff, campus ministry team, chaplain, and our President, Fr. Peter Clarke ensure that the school’s Catholic identity is strong and vibrant.

Our guidance department supports students through the college application process, guiding them toward enrollment at a range of excellent colleges and universities. Our teachers are direct models of leadership and integrity and offer support for our students so that every student truly does matter. The Academics page on our website examines our curriculum guide, Advanced Science Academy, and grading policy. Our graduates pursue academic careers at notable colleges and universities and continue to model the Morris Catholic mission for years to come.
