Dear Parents,

Today Morris Catholic opened its doors after a week of waiting, watching and worrying. The weather was good to us- no damage to the building and we now are fully operational with heat, internet and phones. Thanks to Gus and a handful of others, Morris Catholic braved the storm.

We had every teacher in today but one part time staffer and we had 392 students present out of 425- very impressive! Here are some timely updates related to the next few weeks:

• Transportation: if you take NJ transit, we are still being told by the State that the trains are not operational. Please make alternate plans to get to and from school.
• Dresscode: for today and Tuesday, daughter/son may wear non-dresscode shoes. We realize that some families are living with relatives or friends and may not have the entire wardrobe in the same place.
• Marking period: we are extending the 1st Quarter Marking Period until Nov. 16.
• School days this week: we have school on Tuesday (election day) and Wednesday but NOT on Thursday (Teacher in-service training on iPads). Then, we finish the week with a regular school day on Friday.
