University’s Washington Summer Scholars
Washington Summer Scholars is a unique opportunity for exceptional high school students to build their academic resume while developing study skills that will help them prepare for and succeed in college. Students also learn leadership skills and engage in challenging and thought-provoking discussions with other student leaders as well as with prominent professionals and leaders in the field.
Students reside on the American University Tenley campus and learn from respected AU professors, so they get a taste of small town college life while enjoying the many amenities of a world-class university in our nation’s capital.
Additionally, students will get a head start and marked advantage in the competitive college admissions process by earning 3 college credits from American University, while still in high school.
The Washington Summer Scholars program is an invitational program and seeks students of the highest caliber. There is no question that students who attend will join an impressive delegation of students who will continue to distinguish themselves at the college level and beyond.
