Campus Ministry
The Campus Ministry Office provides spiritual support and plans
religious activities at Morris Catholic High School. Father Carmen Buono and
Deacon Peter Glabik, joined by members of the faculty, lead the Campus Ministry
team. Senior students are selected to be part of the Peer Ministry program.
These students are guided in faith and receive training in communication and
interpersonal skills and serve the student community in leadership roles. The program is comprised of several
service areas: Social Justice,
Music Ministry, Peer Ministry and Prayer & Liturgy.
Retreats
We feel that it is important for young people to set aside time for personal reflection and renewal of faith. Retreat days are held for each class throughout the school year. Retreats for MCHS students are organized through the Campus Ministry Office and are held during the school day. Retreats for upperclassmen may be conducted off-campus to provide students with a non-distracting setting. Each fall and spring our high school also hosts morning retreats for 7th and 8th grade students who attend local elementary schools.
It is also beneficial for our faculty and staff to participate in days
of reflection, which are held twice each year. Our Parent Board also organizes
faith-building activities for parents and guests to address important current
social issues in relation to our faith and Church.
