Coach Vendola will take over the head position on the boys’ staff this fall. Previously, he has been the Varsity Assistant Coach for the MC girls’ squad the past two years. The girls’ soccer team was the runner-up for the state finals in 2010, and made it to the sectional finals in 2011. Before coaching at Morris Catholic, Coach Vendola was a 4 time state champion and county player of the year during his career at Morris Catholic. He then went on to play four years at Seton Hall University.

COACH: Greg Lusardi
COACH’S BIO: Coach Lusardi began his coaching career at Morris Catholic in 1977. He served as assistant coach for seven years before becoming the school’s head coach in 1984. Morris Catholic earned playoff spots in both 1986 and 1987. In 1988, Coach Lusardi began an eighteen year collegiate coaching career, serving as an Offensive Coordinator at the Defiance College in Ohio, the Defensive Coordinator at William Paterson in New Jersey, and finally an eleven year run as the head coach at Pace University in New York. Coach Lusardi returned to Morris Catholic in 2005 and led the program to five consecutive playoff appearances from 2005-2009.

COACH’S BIO: Coach Olenowski knows Morris Catholic basketball well, beginning with attending camp herself. She played at MC from 2001-2004, winning an impressive 12 combined Conference, County, Sectional & Group Titles. Coach then went on to play at Ithaca College and now coaches at Drew University.

COACHES: Ron and Mollie Shipley
COACHES’ BIOS: Coach Ron Shipley started the Morris Catholic Girls’ Lacrosse program in 2005 and elevated the team from the JV to the Varsity level in 2006. Since the inception of the program, Morris Catholic has been recognized and featured by both the Star Ledger newspaper and MSG sports television. The team currently competes in the competitive NJAC Independence Division where it consistently places on the top half of the conference annually. Coach Ron Shipley has coached a number of athletes who have been recognized on a conference, county, and state level, including his daughter Mollie.
Coach Mollie Shipley is a recent graduate of Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland. A graduate of Morris Catholic, Mollie holds or shares every offensive record in the history of the Crusader Girls’ Lacrosse program. An All-Conference, All-Area, and All-State selection in high school, she went on to start at Washington College and was one of only two freshmen to be named All-Conference in the nationally recognized Centennial Conference. Mollie’s goal is to return to Morris Catholic to coach the girls’ lacrosse program her father started.

COACH: Demetri Rotsides, with the help of his sister Janine and brother John
COACH’S BIO: Coach Demetri Rotsides has been playing soccer for over twenty years. Morris Catholic alumni, he and his siblings each played four years in the MC programs. Coach Demetri was a member of Morris Catholic’s seven consecutive state titles for the each of the four years he played at the school. He has been helping his father, MC Head Coach Andy Rotsides, with the girls’ soccer program for the past five years. The girls’ soccer team was the runner-up for the state finals in 2010, made it to the sectional finals in 2011, and won the state title in the 2012 season.

COACH’S BIO: Coach Nicosia took over in July 2012 as the head softball coach at Morris Catholic. Before taking over the softball program, Coach Nicosia spent a year assistant softball coach at MC and 2 years as an assistant baseball coach at Parsippany High. Coach Nicosia will be joined by Morris Catholic's softball staff as well as current and former players.
