The mission of the Morris Catholic Athletic Booster Committee is to support all athletic programs through a concentrated, collective effort that includes fundraising and volunteer opportunities.

 

What We Do

The Athletic Booster Committee works to promote and help-fund the needs of all Morris Catholic athletic programs. Parent volunteers who participate in this important organization are committed to both the improvement of the athletic programs and to a shared Crusader spirit. The Boosters host fundraising events that are dedicated toward such athletic needs and organize volunteers to help with managing of concession stands, 50/50 raffles, sports merchandise sales, and gate management. The Booster Committee meets on the first Tuesday of every month. General meetings will be held each on the first Wednesday in September, December, and March from 7:00 -8:00 pm in the school library.

History and Accomplishments

Founded in March 2004 with only four members, the Booster Committee today is made up of a parent board of seventeen members and two Administrators who act as Executive Advisors. Over the last seven years we estimate that the Boosters have contributed approximately a quarter of a million dollars to the school for athletic programs.  Recent purchases made possible through booster activities include:  baseball and football scoreboards, a contribution towards the steps to Sullivan Field, soccer warm-ups, additional ice time for the hockey team, equipment for lacrosse, new mats and pompoms for the cheerleaders, mats for the wrestling team, equipment for track and field and fence toppers.

Sports and Fan Merchandise

At the start of each sports season we conduct a sale of sweatshirts, T-shirts and miscellaneous merchandise that are both sports specific and general Morris Catholic items. Items are offered online to order for a limited time. Stay tuned for announcements of upcoming sales and visit this webpage for a link to our store at the start of each season.

How Can You Help

Although the board spots are filled in the spring for upcoming school year we are always in need of help with our various subcommittees. Inquire about subcommittee openings, volunteer to work concessions, assist us in finding corporate sponsors, help run a fundraising event, support our concessions and merchandise sales, donate supplies and used appliances, advertise in our fall sports program. Last year we ran a very successful Fish and Chip supper and we hope to do it again this year.
